Alexandre Cancelo, script writer and director, and Berio Molina, whose activity revolves around the sonic, performative and interactive arts, join their forces in 7 limbos, an hybrid of cinema and contemporary arts, an experimental film in both its form and its content.

Seven groups of masked people travel across different landscapes. In their thick skin they carry drawn fossils, the presence of an unknown identity. With their movements they beat the ground of the cities, they stand still waiting for the noise of ruins and they capture the wind with their attires. 7 limbos is a sonic journey through spectral transparencies. “This is the end. I come back to myself. Europe is an open corpse read by the sorcerers, the analysts, the economists and the journalists. Today I begin to fly.”
7 limbos leads us through different experiences in diverse ghostly and evocative sceneries across Europe, in the company of the artists Miguel Prado, Alejandra Pombo, Nick Papadimitriou, Alberto R. Samaniego, Ignacio Castro, Loreto Martínez and Isaac Cordal.

Celebrating the world premiere of the film, A Coruña’s public spaces will be taken by some of the sonic performances generated in 7 limbos project.
Botasoneiro
A room of sound interferences. The noise grows up creating an unpredictable wave of anarchic sounds, under this wave a nervous chaos sleeps. The botasoneiro purifies the rhythms in the air, cleans up the radio electric space of empty speeches. Foucault proved the rotation of earth, the botasoneiro proves the obsessive rotation of human brain around order and meaning. There is no order in chaos, don’t look for it.

Fubarta
Fubarta takes its name of the xibardo whales (humpback whale in English), known for the complexity of their singing. Each whale has her own song, that evolves slowly throughout all their lives, never coming back to a sequence of notes already sang, not even years later. The sonic drone created by the whales serves as an inspiration for the drone created by the Fubarta, that at the same times reminds to the one of a bagpipe. It is made out of latex, bamboo, and bagpipe reeds.
